Community No Dig Compost Day with Charles Dowding

April 21 @ 10:00 am 10:00 pm

Crops Not Shops Community No Dig Compost Day

Charles Dowding – Renowned Horticulturalist, ‘No Dig’ Expert & EarthCare Ambassador.

Charles Dowding continues to inspire millions of people by growing food at his stunning garden in Somerset, with ease and grace. Charles has 40+ years of experience in his field. He engages people in his methods of teaching by encouraging them to interact with the earth in a regenerative way. This really puts him in a league of his own.

Charles has a deep spiritual connection to the practice of ‘No Dig’ gardening, and we are so honoured to welcome him back to Crops NOT Shops for a Day of ‘No Dig’ growing and community thriving together.

Michael Kennard – Compost Club, Soil Nerd, Many forms of Compost.

Michael Kennard is an avid compost, no waste expert and self-proclaimed SOIL NERD; dedicated to educating people about the importance of good compost to feed the soil food web for better growing, building soil profiles and teaching the best, most efficient ways of making compost from waste food produce.

Chay Godfree – Building regenerative land-based communities.

Visionary and co-founder of the Crops NOT Shops – no dig for victory Community Project. Chay and his team are committed to building community settlements on unused farmland as a solution to many of the world’s issues we are facing. He believes in connection to the land and living in groups of people as collective tribe with a shared purpose. It’s something we used to know how to do and how we need to start living again. The Crops NOT Shops project is at the forefront of this ‘remembering’ and we are so excited to show what it feels like to live this way again.

The Crops NOT Shops project is a living, growing, land-based community project in heart of Somerset, Glastonbury on a majestic 22 acres that is home to 15 people, all working for the collective vision of living in harmony with the earth again and coming away from the current corrupt system.

We can’t wait to share this day with two pioneers and show people an alternative way of living in tribe again.
